Dron-Hackathon
12th & 13th September 2025
Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized Dronhackathon 2025, a two-day blend of Technical and Cultural competitions on 12th–13th September 2025. The event created an energetic platform for students to present their innovative projects, problem-solving approaches, and creative skills in both hardware and software domains. Supervised by Dr. Sangeeta Mangesh Karyakarte (Director, DGI) and Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Kumar Singh (Registrar, DGI), the event was coordinated by Prof. Sanghamitra V. Arora with the support from faculty members across departments.
The primary goal of the hackathon was to promote innovation, collaboration, and experiential learning. It aimed to provide students with real-time opportunities to showcase their projects, apply classroom knowledge to practical applications, and nurture qualities like teamwork, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from all departments. Students showcased diverse projects in software development, robotics, automation, and AI-based solutions, along with cultural and technical contests such as poster presentations, quizzes, dance, and music performances. The event unfolded over two days – with preliminary rounds and evaluations on Day 1, followed by final project demonstrations and a valedictory ceremony on Day 2.
- Cash Prizes worth ₹8,000, ₹5,000, and ₹3,000 were awarded to the top three winners.
- Certificates of Excellence were presented to departmental toppers, while coordinators received E-certificates.
- Students addressed pressing issues like sustainability, healthcare, IoT, and smart automation through their projects.
- The event fostered cross-department collaboration, practical learning, and an entrepreneurial mindset among participants.
“Dron-Hackathon 2025” emerged as a resounding success, showcasing the creativity and technical brilliance of DGI students. It not only celebrated innovative solutions but also strengthened the spirit of teamwork and research culture within the institution. The hackathon proved to be a milestone in the institute’s efforts to prepare students for industry challenges while inspiring them to transform their ideas into impactful innovations.
