NSS Day Celebration

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, on 24th September 2025. The event embodied the true spirit of the NSS motto “Not Me, But You,” fostering unity, selfless service, and social responsibility among students. The programme was meticulously coordinated by NSS volunteers and faculty members, ensuring a well-organized and inspiring celebration.
The event commenced with the warm welcome of the Guest of Honour, Mr. Shivendra Singh (Deputy Director, My Bharat, Gautam Buddh Nagar), by enthusiastic NSS volunteers. This was followed by the traditional Tika ceremony and the Lamp Lighting Ceremony before the idol of Goddess Saraswati, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment.
Director Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Mangesh delivered a heartfelt Welcome Address, appreciating the volunteers for their dedication and commitment to community service. The celebration continued with an engaging presentation titled “DGI-NSS Journey 2024”, presented by Ms. Garima Sharma (CSE, 3rd Year) and Ms. Prachi Mohan (ME, 2nd Year). The presentation beautifully highlighted the milestones, achievements, and impactful initiatives undertaken by NSS volunteers throughout the year.
The cultural segment of the programme added a vibrant touch to the celebration. Anshul (CSIT, 1st Year) and Piyush Kumar Jha (CSE, 1st Year) enthralled the audience with a soulful musical performance, followed by an energetic dance performance by Ms. Pallavi (CSIT, 1st Year) and Ms. Simran Barik (AIML, 1st Year).
To recognize exceptional dedication, Outstanding NSS Volunteers of the 2024 session - Arun Chaudhary (CSE, 4th Year), Garima Sharma (CSE, 3rd Year), Vedant Vyas (ECZ, 3rd Year), Shaurya Bhardwaj (ECZ, 3rd Year), Priyanka (ECZ, 3rd Year), Prachi Mohan (ME, 2nd Year), Palak Arya (CSE, 2nd Year), Avijeet Thakur (CSE, 2nd Year), Vishal Ray (EEE, 2nd Year), and Harshita Dargan (CSE, 2nd Year) - were felicitated by the Director Ma’am, Guest of Honour, and Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Kumar Singh. Their relentless contributions to community welfare were applauded by all.
Further enriching the event, Ms. Priyanka (ECZ, 3rd Year) presented a classical dance performance on the theme “Raghukul Reet Sada Chali Aaye”, captivating the audience with her grace and artistry. The institution also extended appreciation to its support staff, including Mr. Jagdish, Mr. Deepesh Kumar, Mr. Deepak Kumar Singh, Mr. Sunil Kumar, and Mr. Jitender Kumar, acknowledging their invaluable service and commitment.
A thought-provoking skit titled “Invisible Helpers: Our Silent Saviours”, performed by Simran Barik and her team, delivered a powerful social message about recognizing the unseen yet indispensable individuals who contribute silently to society’s functioning.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Shivendra Singh, delivered an inspiring address, urging students to uphold the values of humility, empathy, and teamwork, and to carry forward the NSS vision of service before self. His motivating words encouraged the young volunteers to become responsible citizens dedicated to nation-building.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of participation certificates and a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Mamta Bhardwaj, NSS Program Officer, DGI, expressing gratitude to all participants, coordinators, and dignitaries. To mark the end of the event, a Plantation Drive was conducted near the college entrance, symbolizing the institution’s continued commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare.
The entire event was seamlessly anchored by Pushkar Nagar (AIML, 1st Year), whose confident narration added coherence and energy to the proceedings.
The NSS Day Celebration 2025 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions successfully embodied the values of service, empathy, and social responsibility. It not only celebrated the achievements of NSS volunteers but also inspired all present to contribute selflessly toward the betterment of society and the nation.
