Department of Management Studies at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized an insightful Guest Lecture on “Financial Discipline and Wealth Habits for Young Minds” on 26th September 2025, exclusively for MBA students. The session was coordinated by Ms. Anu Jain, Assistant Professor – MBA, and delivered by Ms. Himani Lath (Certified SEBI Smart Trainer). The lecture aimed to cultivate financial literacy, investment awareness, and long-term wealth management habits among young professionals embarking on their careers.
During the session, Ms. Lath emphasized the importance of early financial planning and provided a detailed understanding of capital markets, their structure, and their pivotal role in the economy. She explained various investment avenues, differentiating between high-risk and low-risk instruments, and highlighted the significance of evaluating financial metrics such as ROI (Return on Investment) and CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) for informed decision-making.
Students also gained knowledge about the stock exchange, its major participants, and its contribution to national financial growth. Additionally, the speaker discussed several government-backed savings schemes, including the Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme, and various investment options like Lumpsum Investments, Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs), and Withdrawal Plans.
The interactive session equipped students with essential tools for effective financial decision-making and wealth creation, fostering a mindset of fiscal responsibility and strategic planning. It empowered them to manage both personal and professional finances prudently, reinforcing the value of disciplined investing and sustainable economic growth.
