"Wika Instruments India Pvt. Ltd."

SAE India Collegiate Club, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized an industrial visit for 2nd and 3rd year Mechanical Engineering students to WIKA Instruments India Pvt. Ltd., situated in the Meerut Road Industrial Area, Ghaziabad (U.P.), on 9th September 2025. 20 students took part in the visit, accompanied by Dr. Shailesh Kumar Singh (HOD, ME), Mr. Ankur Sachdeva (Assistant Professor, ME), and Mr. Vishnu Kuntal (Assistant Professor, ME).
WIKA Instruments India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of WIKA Germany, is a renowned global manufacturer specializing in pressure, temperature, level, force, and flow measurement technologies. The Ghaziabad plant is equipped with advanced production units, precision testing laboratories, and state-of-the-art quality control facilities, catering to industries such as oil & gas, power, automotive, chemical, and manufacturing.
The visit was organized with the objective of bridging the gap between theoretical learning and industrial application. It aimed to provide students with practical exposure to manufacturing, assembly, and calibration processes, as well as insights into quality assurance, workplace safety, and automation practices.
The team was warmly received by Mr. AtulChaudhary (Quality Manager) and Mr. Amit Kumar (Senior Engineer), who introduced the company’s operations and guided the students through various production departments. Students observed the machining, assembly, and finishing of precision instruments such as pressure gauges and sensors. They also witnessed advanced CNC machines, robotic systems, and automated production lines, gaining valuable understanding of how technology enhances efficiency and precision in modern industries.
The engineers at WIKA interacted with the students, shared valuable knowledge about career opportunities in instrumentation and manufacturing, and discussed the role of mechanical engineering in industrial innovation.
The visit proved to be a highly informative and inspiring experience, enabling students to relate classroom learning from subjects like Manufacturing Processes, Metrology, and Industrial Engineering to real-world applications. It was a memorable and motivating industrial exposure that deepened their understanding of modern engineering practices and professional excellence.
