Environment Summit 2015

An Environment Summit was organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Hotel Leela Palace, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi on the occasion of Environment Day, 5th June 2015. People from different backgrounds gathered to discuss various problems and methods to improve the environmental conditions. Faculty, Mr. Ankush Yadavalong with four students of Mechanical Department from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the summit.
First session started with a welcome note from Mr. Asim khan, Honorable Minister of Environment, Government of Delhi and Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, M.P, Delhi. Mr. Asim Khan shared his views on the problems which is faced by capital of India and how his government is enthusiastically participating in making the capital clean and green. He also requested the people to participate in Go Green Mission to improve the environment of capital.
Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi shared her views and talked about her progressive works which she did with her team members to make the city pollution free and clean.
The second session began with Dr. Neeraj sharma (Principal Scientist, CSIR, New Delhi) who shared his words on green buildings and how to control pollution in Delhi or other polluted cities. In which he also described about the green building concept and what is the real meaning of green building. He also shared his views about human comfort and what are the methods by which we can get the comfort zone by saving lot of energy.
The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Alka Kaul member CII North Region. She thanked all the speakers and the people who were present there.
