Urban Plantation Drive

NSS Unit, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in collaboration with Aarush Welfare Society organized plantation drive, contributing to environmental sustainability and community engagement on 1st March, 2024. The initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and contributing to a greener and healthier ecosystem. Dr. Vartika Rao and Dr. Ananta Srivastava from Aarush Welfare visited the campus for the conduction of program.
Aarush Welfare Society, dedicated to environmental conservation organized the event with the aim of increasing green cover and raising awareness about the importance of trees in our campus ecosystem.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from over Students, faculty members, and staff. The day commenced with a brief orientation session conducted by Dr. Arpita Gupta (Director, DGI), who emphasized the significance of tree plantation and its impact on combating climate change.
Dr. Vartika Rao and Dr. Ananta Srivastava from Aarush Welfare Foundation played a key role in promoting environmental awareness during the event by presenting saplings to both students and faculty members. They emphasized the importance of not only planting trees but also nurturing and caring for them to ensure their growth. With a strong focus on sustainability and ecological responsibility, they encouraged everyone to take ownership of their sapling and commit to its care. The initiative was designed to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment while also contributing to the green cover of the community.
The drive not only contributed to the beautification of the college premises but also instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment among the participants. The NSS volunteers pledged to nurture the saplings and monitor their growth, ensuring the success of the plantation drive.
