Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized a workshop for 6th semester students on “Art and Skills of Writing Research Papers.” on 6th March 2024,
The workshop aimed to equip students with essential skills required for writing impactful research papers, an important aspect of academic and professional development.
The session was conducted by two eminent speakers, Dr. Pallavi Verma from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department and Dr. Kaustubh Shukla from the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department.
Dr. Pallavi Verma, shared her expertise on the critical elements of research paper writing. She emphasized the importance of a clear and coherent structure in a research paper, stressing that an organized layout is essential for effective communication of ideas also guided the students through the process of conducting a thorough literature review, which forms the foundation of any research. Additionally, she highlighted the significance of employing a well-defined methodology and presenting research findings in a logical, concise manner.
Dr. Kaustubh Shukla, further expanded on the ethical aspects of research writing. He focused on the importance of maintaining integrity in the writing process, cautioning against common pitfalls such as plagiarism and improper citation. Dr. Shukla also discussed the best practices for maintaining ethical standards while conducting and publishing research. His session was interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and engage in discussions. By the end of the workshop, participants gained valuable insights into producing high-quality research papers, with a clearer understanding of how to approach their own academic work.
