60 students along with Dr. Aadarsh Malviya from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in batches of 20 each attended three days program “Startup Mahakumbh from 18th – 20th March, 2024 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The first day started with registration and stall allocation to showcase the project and the Ideas. The event had participation from more than 1000 high-potential startups from India and the globe with key global and Indian stakeholders such as unicorn startups, global and domestic venture capitalists, corporates, and industry leaders.

The Exhibition at Startup Mahakumbh started just after the registration and stall allocation. Students gained unparalleled visibility and access to key stakeholders from the Startup Ecosystem like angel investors, alternative investment funds, family offices, HNIs, bankers, academic, corporate and ecosystem-driven incubators, accelerators, captains of industry, government agencies, and the international community.

There were 10 thematic pavilions focused on industries like Deeptech, AI & SaaS, Fintech, Agritech, Biotech & Pharma, Climate Tech, Gaming & E-Sports, D2C, B2B & Manufacturing, and Incubators. Students gained valuable insights into the lifecycle of a startup, from ideation to scaling, as successful entrepreneurs shared their journeys, offering real-world examples of innovation, perseverance, and adaptability. The exhibition area hosted a wide range of startups from various industries, including technology, healthcare, and sustainability. Students had the opportunity to explore these ventures, engage with startup founders, and learn about the role of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things in modern business models.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Start-up Mahakumbh at Bharat Mandapam on 20th March. He also took a walkthrough of the exhibition showcased on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of Start- up Mahakumbh and emphasized the country’s roadmap of working to become a Viksit Bharat by 2047. The Prime Minister highlighted India's making a mark in the IT and software sector in the last few decades and underlined the emerging trends of innovation and start-up culture. Therefore, the Prime Minister said, the presence of people from the world of start-ups underlines the importance of today’s occasion. Dwelling on the success of start-ups in the country, the Prime Minister drew attention to the genius element that makes them successful. He acknowledged the presence of investors, incubators, academicians, researchers, industry members, and present and future entrepreneurs.

The visit not only broadened students’ perspectives but also motivated them to contribute meaningfully to India's growing innovation landscape.
