Inter-College DRON TechFest 2026

Department of Applied Science (B. Tech – First Year) at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, successfully organized the Inter-College DRON TechFest 2026 on 27th–28th March 2026. The event was convened under the leadership of Dr. Pawan Sharma, Head of the Department of Applied Science.
The two-day technology festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 150 teams representing prestigious institutionsthereby fostering a vibrant inter-college learning environment. The event featured eight diverse competitions spanning domains such as artificial intelligence, robotics, coding, entrepreneurship, public speaking, and visual arts. The festival was thoughtfully designed to promote innovation, collaboration, and professional development among budding engineers. With the support of esteemed branding partners including ESSCI (Skilling India in Electronics), PPDC, Bakeats, Yatharth Hospital Greater Noida, and Wealth Clinic, the fest offered an attractive prize pool of ₹5,100, ₹3,100, and ₹2,100 for the top three winners, along with registration fee refunds, which further encouraged active student participation.
The festival commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony graced by Chief Guest Mr. Satish Kumar, IES, Assistant Director, Department of Food & Public Distribution, Government of India. The event was further honored by the presence of distinguished Guests of Honor, including Ms. Heena Golani, Co-Founder and Director of Erthpot Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Dhanveer Chauhan, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Mieux Display Private Limited, and Mr. Ankur Goel, National Lead at HP. Their insights and experiences served as a source of inspiration and motivation for all participants.
The eight events—Tech Canvas, Quiz-O-Mania, Code & Conquer, Autobot Racing Arena, Cine AI, Innovative Start-up Pitch, Tech Talk Championship, and Creative Project Expo—collectively reflected a high standard of innovation and talent. From designing scientific posters and solving complex coding challenges to building autonomous robots and creating AI-driven films, students demonstrated exceptional creativity, technical competence, and problem-solving abilities. The competitions not only tested knowledge but also enhanced teamwork, communication skills, and practical application of engineering concepts.
DRON TechFest 2026 concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony attended by eminent personalities from academia, government, industry, and defense services. Chief Guest Dr. Harish Kumar, Dean of Student Welfare at NIT Delhi, emphasized the importance of excellence, resilience, and curiosity beyond academic boundaries. Guests of Honor, including Mr. Ishu Agarwal, Joint Director and Scientist, Government of India, and Capt. Manjula Katoch, Ex-Army Officer and Corporate Trainer, inspired students with their experiences and perspectives on discipline, adaptability, and national development. Other distinguished guests, including Dr. Mayank Garg, Director of ITS Engineering College, and Ms. Shaily, Senior Product Engineering Manager at Cadence Design Systems, highlighted the significance of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.The event stood as a testament to DGI’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, industry-ready professionals.

1 Tech Canvas — Visualize, Innovate, Communicate
A scientific poster presentation competition where students showcased technical ideas through creative and informative posters. Participants presented and defended their work before judges.
