Celebration of Earth Day 2025

To commemorate Earth Day 2025, NSS Unit, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an engaging and thought-provoking essay competition centredon the pressing global issue of "Climate Change and Its Impacts."
The objective of the celebration was to educate and sensitize participants about the causes, consequences and possible solutions related to climate change while also fostering a spirit of environmental responsibility and advocacy.
Students from all departments participated in the competition, submitting over 20 entries that showcased a diverse range of perspectives, innovative ideas, and proposed solutions for mitigating climate change and adapting to its impacts.
A panel of three faculty members served as judges to ensure an unbiased and fair assessment.
The top three essays were announced and awarded during a brief ceremony on the same day. The winners are-
- First Position - Harshita Dargan B.Tech First Year Branch CSE
- Second Position - Nischay Sharma B.Tech Second Year Branch AIML
- Third Position - Priyanka B.Tech Second Year Branch ECE
The event was a resounding success. It inspired participants to think deeply about climate change and empowered them to act as ambassadors of the environment. The essay competition not only highlighted the students' awareness and knowledge but also their passion and commitment to safeguarding the planet.
