One Day Workshop on "Drone Technology"

ISTE Student Chapter, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized a one-day workshop on “Drone Technology” for1st, 2nd,and 3rdyear students ofMechanical Engineering at the college campus on 22nd April 2025. Dr. Sachin Rathore(professional in the field of drone technology) along with his dedicated team of five enthusiastic student researchers visited the campus for the workshop. The program was coordinated by the faculty members, Mr. Ankur Sachdeva, Assistant Professor, Dr. Saket Kumar, Assistant Professor, Mr. Vishnu Kuntal and Dr. Deepak Kumar.
The workshop commenced with a welcome address by the Prof. (Dr.) Shailesh Kumar Singhfollowed by an insightful inaugural speech highlighting the growing importance of drone technology in fields such as agriculture, defense, surveillance, disaster management, and logistics.
Dr. Sachin Rathore began the technical session with an engaging presentation on the fundamentals of drone technology including the design, working principles, and types of drones. He emphasized the recent innovations and regulatory frameworks governing UAV usage in India and globally.The session proceeded with live demonstrations and interactive modules where his student team showcased the assembly, calibration, and piloting of drones. Participants were given a hands-on experience, allowing them to operate drones under expert supervision. The live flight demonstrations were a particular highlight, sparking great interest and enthusiasm among attendees. Throughout the workshop, Dr.Rathore and his team addressed numerous questions from the audience, making the session highly interactive and informative. The workshop concluded with a Q&A session and a discussion on potential career opportunities in the field of drone technology.
A token of appreciation was presented to Dr. Sachin Rathore and his team by the Head of the Department.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team, volunteers, and all participants for making the workshop a grand success.
The workshop proved to be an enriching experience, equipping students with valuable knowledge and practical skills, and inspiring many to pursue further research and innovation in drone technology.
