3rd Open Forum: India's Idea Leadership Talk Series

Mr. Adesh Gokhale, Executive Director, IBM India, and Member, Organizing Committee, Smart India Hackathon 2017 conducted the 3rd "Open Forum" for the SPOCs and students of participating institutes.Mr. Gokhale, conducted the Open Forum to make the participants understand how to tackle problem statements.

The event was broadcast live atDronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. It was attended by two faculty members along with the students.

Mr. Gokhale said that the participants seemed to be in a confused state which he found right and advised them to be attentive during his broadcast. He asked the attendees to spread the word through their WattsApp group so that more number of students get to know about SIH 2017. He cited the example of Late. Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Azad who used to inspire students to do innovative works.

Mr. Gokhale motivated the students by saying that a country becomes great only when its citizens contribute in finding out solutions to their problems. He advised the participants to identify the problem statements for which they can contribute and then come up with tangible solutions. This he said that it may also lead to start-ups.

While giving a presentation on SIH Webpages, Mr. Gokhale discussed the problem statement ofGIS Based Examination Center Allocationand"Water Usage and Use of Water Bodies".
