A Faculty Development Programme on Emerging Trends in Engineering, Sciences and Management was organized at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida during 5th - 16th June 2017.
The Programme commenced with the lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana in the morning on 5th June 2017.
Welcoming the Faculty Members, Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Bagga, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida explained how FDPs have become an integral part of academics. He said that the objective of conducting the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was to equip teachers with skills and knowledge that are essential for inculcating values in students and guiding and monitoring their progress towards a bright future. He stressed that Faculty needs to update their understanding and knowledge from time to time. He advised the use of NPTEL lectures which have been designed and developed by IITs and IISc Bangalore, for effective teaching-learning.
The 10 days programme from 5th to 16th June, 2017 had been designed to be exciting and stimulating – the right blend of theory, visual presentations & animations and interactions that enthused and kept the teachers engaged as they learnt how to relate with the subjects being taught in other departments and integrate technology with education as well as how to be effective mentors, who will create and maintain the momentum of change in teaching-learning.
The programme concluded with the Valedictory Session on 16th June 2017.
All the participating Faculty members were awarded with certificates by Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Bagga, for conducting the session during the FDP.
