Independence Day

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida joined the nation in celebrating 71st Independence Day with Patriotic Fervor and Enthusiasm on 15th August 2017. The National Flag was unfurled by the Hon'ble Director, Dr. Ashish Soti.
Student and Staff sung the National Anthem.
Addressing the gathering on this auspicious occasion, Dr. Soti spoke insight of freedom struggle and its significance in the present day society. He reminded that the struggle for freedom started with India's colonization which started with the arrival of the British East India Company in the late 1600s. Britishers came to trade with India but soon began to exercise military and administrative control and by 1757, they took control of everything under them.
Sharing the importance of Independence Day, Dr. Soti said that it is something special. We all get together with no discrimination of religion, caste, colour or gender. He reiterated that the equality is to be maintained all time. He advised all to adopt the human values of truthfulness, honesty, integrity, compassion and non-violence and become a good citizen of India.
Students and staff members witnessed the celebration. The event ended with distribution of sweets.
