Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida hosted the campus placement drive for Motherson Infotech & Designs Ltd. for B.Tech ME 2016 batch on January 13th 2016.
Motherson Sumi Infotech & Designs Limited (MIND) is a CMM Level 5 & ISO 27001 certified IT services company,primarily into IT Consulting, Application development and Infrastructure manage services.
It is a joint venture between Samvardhana Motherson Group (SMG), India, renowned and one of the fastest growing auto ancillary giant and Sumitomo Wiring Systems Ltd, Japan (SWS), global tier 1 automotive supplier and world’s second largest wiring harness manufacturer.
With a team of 850+ programmers and experienced managerial individuals, the company is serving the organizations across the globe for last 13 years. MIND has a delighted client list of 250+ companies spread across the globe.
Their facilities include world class software development center equipped with state-of-the-art Data Center (Noida, Chennai & Germany) along with advanced secure communication facilities including multiple internet links (fiber, radio, DSL) and dedicated WAN links to ensure 24x7 support capabilities.
A TEAM of 9 members headed by Mr. Sanjay Arora- VP Engineering & Design and Mr. Rakesh Sharma - Head HR and Admin visited the college for the same.
The event started off with an elaborative company's presentation with Mr. Sharma and Mr. Arora explaining the students about the company in detail. It was a very detailed presentation which went on for couple of hours minting all the details about the products they manufacture, the global presence, the safety measures and all the new products they are adding in the recent future.
Next round was a written test which was again very elaborative and detailed. It comprised of Aptitude and Technical and was of 2 hours duration. It had details about all the mechanical drawings and calculative assignments.
Mr. Sharma and Mr. Arora showed interest in visiting the college labs and see the machines which are being set up. They went to the machine shop, the CNC shop to see how the college imparts the practical training to the students to bridge the gap between Academia and Industry. The discussion also happened on imparting the industry based training to the students in sync with Motherson Group.
After the test was over it was the time for exhaustive evaluation of the test papers. This took about 3 hours to evaluate as the Technical paper was all subjective.
Sixteen students were shortlisted after Aptitude and Technical test and the final round will take place in the company's premises.
The entire event ended at 08:00 PM with a vote of thanks from Dr. Bagga.
