Visit to 17th Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Open House

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a visit to 17th Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Open House, a significant event designed to showcase the institute’s innovative research and projects on 9th November 2024.
IIT students had exhibited an extensive collection of innovative research and product development projects at its Annual Open House. It was a one - day event dedicated to provide an insight into path-breaking research work, student projects and the numerous advanced facilities and laboratories available in IIT Delhi.
Prof. Rangan Banerjee (Director of IIT Delhi), emphasized the institute's expanding focus beyond science and engineering to include healthcare and social sciences. He highlighted collaborations with AIIMS and the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for AI in Healthcare, aiming to create future generations that will transform the country and the world through impactful research.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Prof. Randeep Guleria, former Director of AIIMS New Delhi, who delivered a talk titled "Healthcare: A Look Back, a Look Ahead." He emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, stating that future advancements will emerge from the convergence of engineering, computation, mathematics, humanities, and medicine.
The Open House featured notable speakers including: Prof. Bhaskar Kanseri presented “Quantumania: The Power of Quantum Communication”, Mr. Rajat Mishra spoke on “Children: The Agents of Change.” Prof. Tapan K. Gandhi explored “NeuroAI: Science of Intelligence.” Various activities were organized such as “3 Minutes Talk,” “Artificial Intelligence at IIT Delhi,” and “Mind-Bending Math Tricks,” which encouraged student participation and engagement with complex concepts in an accessible manner.
The event provided opportunity for students from DGI and other institutions to engage with IIT Delhi's faculty and researchers, building connections that could spark future collaborations or academic endeavors. Beyond highlighting innovative research, the IIT Delhi Open House served as a source of inspiration for young minds to explore the frontiers of science and technology.
