Expert Lecture On
Basic Ideas for Publications of Research Papers

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE) and ED Cell, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an expert lecture on “Basic Ideas for Publications of Research Papers” on 7th November 2024. Ms. Kamiya Khatter, Senior Editor at Springer Nature was invited to conduct the session. She is a part of the Global Acquisition Team at Springer, an imprint of Springer Nature.
The session was inaugurated by felicitating the Chief Guest and after that session was continued by the esteemed resource person Ms. Kamiya Khatter.
The session was conducted in two parts:
Session -1 was on requirements of Research paper writing. The primary objective of the session was to familiarize the students about the Research publication process related to Conferences, Book chapters, etc. BTech third year students of CSIT, ECE, EEE and ECZ departments attended the session.
Session -2 was on Research and Publication Ethics. It was attended by the faculty members from all departments of the college.
Research ethics can be described as a set of moral principles that a researcher should follow to conduct research in a responsible manner. Research ethics guide researchers about right and wrong during their research. Topics discussed were related to:
- Ethical and Publication Norms for Protection of Intellectual Research: Changing Dimensions and Challenges
- Guidelines and Tools engaged in Publication Ethics
- Academic Integrity, Plagiarism and the Impact of AI
The session was informative and useful for the research community. Association with a reputed publication house not only authenticates research work but also their reviews are a source of guidance for publishing in reputed journal.
