World Student Day
(Remembering Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his Birth Anniversary)

Students and Staff at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida paid tribute to Missile Man and Former President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his 85th Birth Anniversary on October 15th , 2016. To bestow an honor on Dr. Kalam for his contribution to our nation the day is celebrated as the "WORLD STUDENTS' DAY". NSS Wing of DGI Greater Noida also took up tree plantation to mark the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Director - DGI, Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bagga urged the students to follow the footsteps of Dr. Kalam and contribute to the society without any expectation in return. He praised the simplicity with which Dr. Kalam lived his life. He emphasized the wording of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "If you want to shine like a sun. First burn like a sun.". He said that Dr. Kalam's entire life is a lesson for us to learn.
