Cultural Cub, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized its annual freshers’welcome programme, DRON-AAGAMAN-2K25, on 15thNovember 2025. The event warmly welcomed the new batch and helped them integrate into the vibrant institutional culture. The entire programme blended cultural performances, formal ceremonies and recognition events, creating a memorable experience for all newcomers.
The event commenced at 9:15 AM with the arrival of guests, escorted by NSS volunteers from the main gate to the guest room. The inauguration began with traditional floral offerings to Radha Krishna ji, Ganesha ji, and Saraswati ji, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony conducted by the Chairman, Director General, Director, Registrar, and Heads of Departments. A beautifully choreographed fusion performance of Ganesha and Saraswati Vandana added an auspicious touch to the opening. The Director formally welcomed the gathering and reiterated the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and value-based education, after which the programme schedule was introduced by the anchors.
The cultural segment of the programme showcased a series of powerful and thematic performances aligned with the event’s theme—Shakti, Shourya, and Sanskar. Acts such as Rani LaxmiBai, Operation Sindoor, and Shree Ram highlighted courage, sacrifice, and tradition. These were followed by a vibrant group dance and an energetic MaaDurga act. Alongside the cultural presentations, the special “Mr.&Ms. DGI” segment captivated the audience through a graceful ramp walk, engaging talent displays, and an interactive Q&A session, adding charm and enthusiasm to the event.
Academic and extracurricular excellence were also recognized through an award ceremony that honoured students and faculty members for their achievements in academics, sports, state-level competitions, and AKTU Zonals. This segment significantly boosted morale and celebrated the talent and hard work within the institution.
The programme concluded with the announcement of titles across multiple categories, including Mr. Fresher, Ms. Fresher, Mr. Personality, Ms. Personality, Mr. Stylish, Ms. Stylish, Mr. Talent, and Ms. Talent. The Hon’ble Chairman delivered a closing address, followed by a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Shivani Sharma, HoD–MBA. Group photographs of performers and participants captured the spirit of the occasion. Post-event activities included a one-hour DJ session and lunch for students, faculty, and staff.
Overall, DRON-AAGAMAN-2K25 was conducted with discipline, enthusiasm, and excellent coordination. Every segment adhered closely to the planned schedule, showcasing efficient event management and teamwork among faculty coordinators, NSS volunteers, and student organizers. The blend of tradition, cultural richness, recognition, and entertainment created an inspiring and energetic atmosphere. The event successfully welcomed the freshers into the DGI family and set a positive and vibrant tone for the academic year ahead.
