IIC Regional Meet & Innovation Ecosystem Activities
25th November 2025
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), under the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), organized a Regional Meet on 25th November 2025 at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management (GLBITM). The meet aimed to foster innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and startup culture across higher educational institutions by bringing together innovators, mentors, startups, and ecosystem enablers on a unified platform.
From Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida (DGI), Innovation Ambassadors—Prof. Sanghamitra V Arora, Ms. Kajol Kathuria and Dr. Saket Kumar—participated in the event along with five student teams selected for the Yukti Innovation Challenge (YIC) to showcase their project models.
The Regional Meet served as a collaborative platform for Innovation Ambassadors, faculty members, and student innovators to exchange ideas and explore institutional opportunities. With participation from over 170 higher-education institutions, the event marked a significant milestone in strengthening the national innovation framework.
The sessions included keynote addresses by distinguished guests including Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe (Chairman, Executive Committee, NAAC), Dr. S. P. Mishra, and Prof. Anil Kumar Sharma, whose insights enriched discussions on emerging trends in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The meet featured thought-leadership sessions, mentoring workshops, and networking interactions that focused on ideation, design thinking, prototyping, startup financing, intellectual property rights, and the overall innovation lifecycle.
DGI’s Innovation Ambassadors represented the institute in the poster presentation session, highlighting institutional initiatives and best practices to enhance innovation capacity. They engaged with peer IAs and experts, gaining actionable insights to strengthen pre-incubation activities, increase student engagement, and improve IIC event execution on campus.
The five YIC-selected student teams from DGI benefited from hands-on mentoring, pitch refinement sessions, and exposure to real-world innovation models. Interaction with industry experts and startup founders provided valuable feedback to further refine their projects for the next stages of YIC & APF 2025.
Key insights from the event emphasized the importance of structured mentoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, and developing a well-defined innovation funnel—from ideation to commercialization. Strengthening institutional linkages with incubators and regional innovation networks emerged as a major opportunity for growth.
Overall, DGI’s participation in the IIC Regional Meet significantly enhanced its visibility, strengthened its innovation ecosystem, and provided strategic direction for future improvement in IIC and YIC activities. The event contributed meaningfully to fostering an innovation-driven culture and bolstered institutional participation at the national level.
