Expert Talk on “Value Proposition for Start-ups”

Dronacharya Group of Institutions organized an expert talk titled “Value Proposition for Start-ups” on 18th November 2025 to celebrate National Entrepreneurship Day. The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Sahab Singh, Professor–MBA and an experienced startup mentor with extensive expertise in business model development, customer research, and innovation strategy.The session was conducted for MBA and B.Tech students with the aim of promoting entrepreneurial thinking among young learners and equipping them with essential knowledge required for launching and sustaining innovative ventures.
During the talk, Dr. Singh explained the concept of a value proposition as the unique benefit a product or service offers to a specific customer segment, making it desirable and distinct from competitors. He also discussed the rapidly evolving entrepreneurial landscape in India and emphasized the importance of customer-centric thinking in modern start-ups.
An interactive group activity was organized as part of the session, where students worked together to create a basic value proposition for a hypothetical business idea. This hands-on exercise enabled participants to apply the concepts introduced during the talk and enhanced their learning experience.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from MBA and B. Tech students, faculty members, and aspiring student entrepreneurs. The session remained engaging and vibrant, with students asking thoughtful questions and seeking insights related to their own start-up ideas. By the end of the program, participants gained a clearer understanding of how to design and articulate an effective value proposition.
