Workshop on Research Methodologies and Modelling Techniques
16 September 2016
Department of Information Technology, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized a one day workshop on "Research Methodologies and Modelling Techniques" on September 16th, 2016 which was conducted by Mr. Prashant Kumar, Scientist CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh. 54 Students participated in the workshop which was coordinated by Assistant Professor, Ms. Preeti Chawla.
The objective was to help the students understand the benefits of Research Methodologies and develop critical thinking.
The session started with the welcome address by Prof.(Dr.) S. K. Bagga, Director Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.
Mr. Prashant Kumar started the session with an introduction, importance and applications of Research. He said that the innovation is necessary for maximizing effectiveness. Incorporating many years of continuous research and development, the latest Drastic Model offers Vulnerability- Based Map and visualization tools, fast linear and nonlinear analytical power.Mr. Prashant also said that the machine learning has sophisticated and comprehensive capabilities that allow users to quickly and easily decipher and understand analysis and results. It also integrates every aspect of the multi-criteria decision modelling technique.
During the session students were trained to work on PYRAMID STRUCTURE OF RESEARCH. Following topics were covered during the session:
Redefining Research
Research systematic & objective identification
Problem identification Research
The last session of the workshop was a practice session where research models were developed using PYRAMID STRUCTURE.
The workshop ended with the Valedictory Session where the participation certificates were issued to all the candidates. Ms. Preeti Chawla delivered Vote of Thanks.
The one day workshop had useful insights for students in research. Various aspects of the design & analysis of research structures by using pyramid were studied in - depth. The knowledge imparted during the workshop will help students in developing projects and research papers in future.
