Workshop On Cloud Computing on Amazon Web Services

Department of Applied Science and Humanities Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a workshop on Cloud Computing on Amazon Web Services under the banner of CSI Chapter of DGI on 3rd September 2016. Mr. Aurbind Sharma, Founder CMD, TED Consulting conducted the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to offer a comprehensive knowledge about cloud computing and its competitiveness to increase opportunities for students in software industry. 53 students from B. Tech 1st Year attended the workshop.
The workshop started with the Welcome Address by Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bagga, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida who highlighted the importance of Cloud Computing in modern days.
Mr. Aurbind Sharma started the session with brief on Cloud Computing in social media. He described in detail the use of Cloud Computing at grass root level like Banking, Internet and Reservation of e-tickets. Mr. Sharma said that cloud computing must be cost effective, flexible, reliable, accessible and with low maintenance cost. He cited examples of organizations that are operating in cloud computing business.
Mr. Sharma said that there is an urgent need to train our technocrats for the basic concept of cloud and its working. He discussed various clouds like private, organizational, public and hybrid.
The workshop ended with Memento presentation to Mr. Aurbind Sharma by Prof. Bagga.
