Industrial visit to Yakult Factory

The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an Industrial Visit to “Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd” for first year students on 27th October, 2015. The students of B.Tech, Civil, First Semester went along with their coordinators Ms. Priyanka Upadhyay and Mr. Atul Kumar.
The visit began with an introduction to Yakult in which Yakult professionals discussed the origin, milestones, journey and the global marketing of the products. He explained that the journey of Yakult Danone Pvt. Ltd began in 1930 with Dr. Minoru Shirota, who conducted a research in a microbiological lab at the Medical Faculty of Kyoto in Japan. He was the first person in the world to achieve success in it. He said that the bacterium "Lactobacillus casei Shirota strain" is an antibodies in human body.
Yakult products were distributed amongst the participants. The students were then directed towards the factory to observe the manufacturing process. Yakult professionals explained the working procedure of producing the Yakult products.
The attraction of this tour was continuous interaction of Yakult professionals with the students. The involvement and the discussion signified the great interest of the students in understanding the procedure. The importance of the R & D cell in judging the quality of the product attracted the students.
The visit came to an end with a group photo session.
