Departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics (ECZ), and Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized a Guest Lecture on “AI-ML: Latest Trends and Career Opportunities” on 29th October 2025 under the Alumni Connect Series – I. The session aimed to acquaint students with the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), along with the evolving career landscape in these domains.
The event was graced by Mr. Nitin Kumar Sharma, a distinguished professional from Cognizant and a proud alumnus of the 2013 batch of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Around 65 students from the respective departments participated enthusiastically.
Mr. Sharma began by sharing his professional journey and fond memories from his college days at DGI. He highlighted the transformative role of AI and ML in sectors like textile, banking, and information technology, emphasizing their growing impact on global industries and explained various real-world applications and industrial use cases, helping students relate theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
The speaker further discussed career pathways, essential skills, and industry expectations, guiding students on how to prepare for careers in AI-ML through the right mix of technical proficiency and analytical thinking. The session also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
A key highlight of the lecture was the interactive hands-on session, where students worked on Python-based exercises using Visual Studio Code. This segment allowed participants to gain practical exposure to the fundamental concepts of AI and ML, strengthening their problem-solving and programming abilities.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mrs. Lily, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sharma for his valuable insights and motivational interaction with the students. The initiative proved to be an enriching and inspiring experience, fostering technical curiosity, enhancing conceptual understanding, and effectively bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices.
