The Indian Navy is the naval branch of the Indian Armed Forces.
The primary objective of the navy is to safeguard the nation's maritime borders, and in conjunction with other Armed Forces of the union, act to deter or defeat any threats or aggression against the territory, people or maritime interests of India, both in war and peace. Through joint exercises, goodwill visits and humanitarian missions, including disaster relief, Indian Navy promotes bilateral relations between nations.
The final year students of Engineering had a great opportunity to get placed in the Indian Navy. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students who want to do something for their Motherland.
Under the UES, the Navy Officials try to hunt for the best students who are aggressive yet gentle in their approach.
Commandant Mann, along with his 2 member delegation visited the college to facilitate the event.
The event started at 10:00 AM with a session for the students. Commandant Mann explained the students the details which Indian Navy looks forward to have in its prospective officers. He explained roles and responsibilities in the prospective officer. The students were filled with a feeling of patriotism and the CAN DO attitude.
Post this motivational session, the students underwent the Group Discussion. They were given the latest topic and were asked to brain storm on that.
All the shortlisted students will be getting the intimation from Indian Navy and will be recommended for Staff Selection Board- SSB. The result is expected by March 2018.
