ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMP (EAC)

An Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) under the aegis of EDII Ahmedabad, was organized at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 30 October, 2017. 70 students from CSE, IT, ME, CE, ECE and EEE participated in the event. The program was coordinated by DGI-EDC Coordinators, Prof. TPN Singh and Dr. Aditi Paul.
The program started with the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Dr. Soti cordially welcomed the Chief Speaker, Mr. RAVI GUPTA, National Mentor (Entrepreneurship / Soft Skills/ Skills Development). Dr. Soti also highlighted the goal of conducting EAC for the engineering students and motivated them to come forward and take entrepreneurship as the career option.
After inauguration of the program, Mr. Gupta started his session with the notion of Entrepreneurship. He first explained the importance of being an entrepreneur specifically for the engineering students. Mr. Gupta said that to be an entrepreneur one should have a mindset, passion, idea and dedication. During the session Mr. Gupta tried to encourage the students who have the possibilities of becoming an entrepreneur but have fears of failure. He suggested that failure may occur in any venture but it can be recovered if we have the risk analysis capabilities of our own. He discussed how to analyze the risk in any business before starting it. Mr. Gupta continued his session with the explanation of Single Window System and its benefits. He also discussed various schemes of MSME which are available for Start-ups and new ventures.
The session was very interactive as students gathered lot of information for starting their own business. Some of the students came up with their ideas and discussed how to convert those into new business.
The one-day EAC ended with the certificate distribution by the Director Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti. Prof. TPN Singh rendered the Vote of Thanks.
