Power Point Competition

Department of Management Studies - Dronacharya Group of Institutions organized a Power Point Presentation Competition for MBA First year students on Oct 9, 2017 with an aim to enhance the public speaking capabilities of the future managers. As a Management Graduate, it is very important for the students to convey their message very effectively. Public Speaking plays a very important role in shaping the same.
The students were given following 4 topics and were supposed to make a Power Point Presentation of about 12-15 slides and present the same.
- Demonetization
- Academic pressure on students
- Motivation
- Effects of advertisement on buying behavior
These 4 topics were given keeping in mind that they cover all basic aspects of Management viz-a viz- Finance, HR and Marketing.
The session started with motivational words from Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Soti,-Director DGI, Prof. B L Kaul, Registrar, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. They encouraged the students to take part in all such activities and explained the importance of the same. Lot of insights were given by the judges - Prof. TPN Singh - Advisor R&D, Dr. Sahab Singh - HOD MBA and Dr. Aditi Paul - HOD IT.
Thereafter the students came up with their presentation. Lot of cross questions from the audience and judges were done. The judges gauged the students on the following basis:-
- Presentation and communication
- Body language/Postures
- Content
- Graphs/Charts
- Logic and Relevance
- Query handling
After all the presentations were done, taking the cumulative scores of all 3 judges in account, following students were adjudged the winners of the program:-
- Ms. Shraddha Chaturvedi - First Prize
- Mr. Soliyah Yousuf - Second Prize
- Ms. Shally Yadav - Third Prize
The event ended with the Vote of Thanks by Ms. Sonal Handa, Student of MBA Second Year.
