Students of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida was invited by the NDTV to attend "NDTV Tech Conclave 2018" held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi on 13th April 2018. Amit Jain, Asst. Prof. from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department accompanied the students for the conclave.
The NDTV Tech Conclave was a congregation of leading minds in the technology, mobile and digital industry. It witnessed participation from several Indian and Global technology giants. It was a gripping extravaganza at the helm of which was the Gadget Gurus - Vikram Chandra and Rajiv Makhni.
Prannoy Roy, Co-founder and Executive Co-Chairperson of NDTV welcomed the audience at the NDTV Tech Conclave 2018.
John Bayne, Vice President and General Manager, Corning Gorilla Glass talked about how modern technology companies are transcending boundaries, cultures and societies. He suggested that India has a significant role to play in the fast growing digital era.
Larry Paulson of Qualcomm India opined that after 4G, it's 5G that will drive technology to next levels.
Session on Artificial intelligence featured panelists, Manish Singhal, Founder, Pi Ventures; Prasanto K Roy, Vice President, Nasscom, Abhinav Kumar Gupta, Founder, Silversparro Technologies, and Samar Singh Jodha, Photographer and TED Speaker.
Prasanto K Roy of Nasscom noted that there must be controls to limit the scope of AI to benefit humans.
Abhinav Kumar Gupta of Silversparro Technologies explained how machine learning and deep learning are both participating in the growth of AI.
Manish Singhal of Pi Ventures was of the view that a large number of engineers in the IT industry are moving to product thinking and designing following the arrival of developments such as AI.
Cricketer Dinesh Karthik during the Tech Rapid Fire with Vikram Chandra revealed that his favorite video game as a kid was Mario and the one gadget that he cannot live without is his smartphone.
Alex Thurber, Senior Vice President, General Manager, Mobility Solutions, BlackBerry believed that privacy and data security is very important in today's world. He said that it is very important to have a secure password on phones and to regularly keep them backed up.
A high powered panel that included Sound Designer Resul Pookutty, Bollywood music composer Ehsaan Noorani, Editor of What Hi-Fi Nishant Padhiar, Audio Engineer KJ Singh and Managing Director of Emerging Markets at Dolby Pankaj Kedia discussed about the numerous innovations that have taken place in the music industry.
During the session on art of body hacking using technology many fitness myths were broken by panelists Yasmin Karachiwala, Celebrity Fitness Consultant; Dr Rajat Chauhan; Sports-Exercise Medicine and Pain Management Physician and Author; Mandana Karimi, Actor Luke Coutinho, Author and Master Coach, GOQii.
Mandana Karimi, while busting the myth about six pack abs, said crunches can't make six-pack abs. Mandana specified that youngsters should stop judging themselves and comparing themselves with celebrities.
Tech Conclave 2018 saw discussions on varied topics - from the new face of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the future of sound - how new technology has woken up a sleeping giant.
