Visit to Open House 2018

Department of Applied Science, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a visit to Open House 2018 held at IIT Delhi on 21st April 2018. 33 students along with two faculty members Dr. SK. Srivastava and Mr. Dinesh Kumar went for the visit.
IIT students had exhibited an extensive collection of innovative research and product development projects at its Annual Open House, It was a one - day event dedicated to provide an insight into path-breaking research work, student projects and the numerous advanced facilities and laboratories available in IIT Delhi.
Continuing the tradition of last thirteen years, this year too Open House offered a real treat to the eyes of the connoisseurs by presenting finest of the projects to technology enthusiasts, students and colleagues from other technical Institutes, school children, industries and general public.
Some of the eye catching projects displayed this year were:
- Nano-Material based Water Purification Device, a portable device for early detection of infectious diseases.
- A proposal to make inter-vertebral disc tissue using silk biomaterials.
- A project to use electrochemical reaction of carbon dioxide to value added products using solar energy.
- 'On Board' – a bus identification system for visually challenged people.
The exhibition also included an Upper Limb Robotic Rehabilitation Device for objective physiotherapy in case of a chance event, a nasofilter, an affordable pocket spectrophotometer for field diagnosis and soil testing, and digitally accessible braille.
Speaking about the annual technical exposition, Professor Suneet Tulli, Dean Research, IIT Delhi said that the exhibition was an opportunity for the wider community to experience the innovative vision of IIT Delhi students.
