Say No to Plastic Bags Campaign

NSS Unit of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, in association with Aarush Welfare Society organized a campaign “Say No to Plastic Bags” on 15th November 2022.
The objective of campaign was to raise awareness about the harmful effects of plastic bags on the environment and promote the use of eco-friendly alternatives.
NSS Coordinator along with NSS Volunteer visited the nearby village to raise awareness about ill effects of using plastic.
NSS volunteers raised awareness about the dangers of plastic waste and encouraging people to take action to reduce their use of plastic. The campaign was a call to action for taking steps towards reducing plastic waste and finding alternative solutions to plastic.
The three R’s of waste management were told to the students and they were illuminated towards reducing plastic waste and not to use single-use plastics. Single-use plastics are items like straws, water bottles, and plastic bags that are used once and then discarded. These items are a significant source of plastic waste and contribute to the pollution of oceans, rivers, and other natural habitats.
This initiative by the NSS Unit reflects the institute's commitment to creating a sustainable future by fostering responsible environmental practices. The campaign concluded with a pledge by all participants to reduce plastic usage and encourage others to do the same.
Through such events, Dronacharya Group of Institutions continues to inspire young minds to become agents of change for a cleaner and greener tomorrow.
