Introduction to the Future - Web 3.0 & Metaverse

To celebrate National Education Day, CSI Student Chapter and Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE) Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in collaboration with Trace Network Labs, organized a workshop on “Introduction to the Future-Web 3.0 & METAVERSE” and working towards bringing awareness in this new frontier of the internet on 11th November 2022. Mr. Mayank Singhal - AVP Business Development, at Trace Network Labs, was invited as the speaker for the workshop. 50 students from CSE/CSIT Department attended the session. Ms. Bhanu (Assistant Professor, CSE Department) was the coordinator of the workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to make students understand the need of learning latest and innovative technologies.
Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Srivastava (Registrar DGIGN) welcomed Mr. Mayank Singhal and encouraged students to learn new and innovative technologies. Mr. Singhal briefed students about some of the latest and booming technologies like Web 3.0, Blockchain, NFTs and Metaverse. He briefed all the basic concepts with the help of videos and interactive presentation slides.
After presentation session, students went to Computer Lab, where they were briefed about How to create their own Metaverse Avatars and how they could use them in the Metaverse. Everyone present in the workshop was able to mint their own avatars and was also awarded an NFT certificate for it.
The session ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Richa Jaiswal (Training & Placement Head )
