World Bicycle Day

NSS Unit, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida celebrated “World Bicycle Day” on 3rd June, 2024. The celebration brought an opportunity to promote sustainable transportation, physical fitness, and environmental awareness.
DGI marked the celebration of the occasion with a cycle race among students and faculties, inaugurated by Dr. Arpita Gupta (Director, DGI.) Dr. S.K. Srivastava (Registrar, DGI), Dr. Shailesh Singh (HOD, ME Dept.) and Dr. Pawan Sharma (HOD, APS Dept.) were also present to motivate the participants. Dr. Kamaldeep (Faculty ECE) who commutes to the college using a bicycle was recognized and appreciated.
Students, faculty, and staff of the college were encouraged to embrace cycling as a healthy and eco-friendly mode of transportation. The event emphasized the numerous health benefits of regular cycling while promoting awareness about reducing carbon footprints through sustainable practices.

Route: A predefined route around the college campus, ensuring safety and minimal traffic interference.
Finishing Point: College Sports Ground

Lastly, award was distributed to the winners: Gold Medal-Yash Mishra (1st year CSIT), Silver Medal - Yash Bhati (2nd year CSIT) & Bronze Medal-Ankit Anand (2nd year ECZ Branch)
