Placement Drive Amazon

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida hosted the campus placement drive for Amazon for B.Tech (All Branches) 2016 Batch on 10th - 11th March 2016.
Amazon.com Inc. is an American International Electronic Commerce Company with headquarters in Seattle, Washington and United States. It is the world's largest online retailer. Amazon.com started as an online bookstore, but soon diversified, selling DVDs, VHSs, CDs, video and MP3 downloads/streaming, software, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and jewelry. The company also produces consumer electronics—notably, Amazon Kindle e - book readers, Kindle Fire tablets, Fire TV and Fire Phone and is a major provider of cloud computing services. Amazon has separate retail websites for United States, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Brazil, Japan, China, India and Mexico with sites for Sri Lanka and South East Asian Countries coming soon. Amazon also offers international shipping to certain other countries for some of its products.
It was a massive two day event in which about 700 students from colleges like Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, Jagan Institute of Management Studies, New Delhi, Krishna Institute of Engineering & Technology, Ghaziabad, New Delhi Institute of Management, New Delhi, Sharda University, Greater Noida, Indraprastha University, New Delhi, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, IEC College, Greater Noida and Amity University, Noida participated.
The drive started with one to one communication of the students with the Amazon Team to gauge their communication skills.
All the students who cleared the first round underwent the second one which was an online test. This was a very comprehensive English and Analytical test. In this the students were given various situations and were judged on their reactions.
The second day was dedicated to the interview by the panelists. All the shortlisted students after the first day's activity underwent a very grilling session with the operations manager and they were judged basis the flexibility, Amazon's culture fitment and the attitude to work. Each round of interview went for about 45 - 60 mins with the Ops Manager.
After a testing day for the students, the entire activity came to an end an 11:00 PM with a vote of thanks by Prof. B L Kaul, Registrar, DGI, Greater Noida.
