Interactive Session with Course Instructor Dr. Niket Kaisare

National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a joint initiative of the IITs and IISc. Through this initiative, they offer various online courses and certifications. MATLAB is a popular language for numerical computation which is being run during the ongoing session. This course includes MATLAB programming, demonstration and its uses for scientific computations. The bases of computational techniques are expounded through various examples by coding and practical ways to use MATLAB.
A one - hour interactive session was scheduled with Dr. Niket Kaisare, Course Instructor and Associate Professor, Dept. of Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras, on 11th March 2016 from 2:00PM to 3:15PM through ICT. The objective of the session was to resolve specific queries of students participating or willing to participate in the course and to encourage more participants to register for this course. Colleges from all over India participated in the event. Prof. Vinod Kumar, HOD (ECE & EEE), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida along with faculty members and students of B.Tech, EEE - VI Semester who have enrolled by MATLAB participated in the interactive session organized at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida remotely through video conferencing.
During the session Dr. Niket Kaisare took up various questions from the colleges and solved their queries. FromDronacharya Group of Institutions, Vikash Kumar (B. Tech, EEE - VI Sem) asked a question on Newton Raphson Method from Assignment - 5. Sangam Shakya (B. Tech, EEE-VI Sem) asked question on Maclaurin Series from Assignment 2. Lalit Mohan Gupta and Arjun (B. Tech, EEE-VI Sem) put up their queries regarding NPTEL Examinationwhich is scheduled on 20th March, 2016.
After fruitful discussion on MATLAB, session came to an end at 3:15 PM. Dr. Niket Kaisare thanked all the participants and wished them the very best for Final Examination.
