'Entrepreneurship Educator Program' by (NEN)

A workshop by 'National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN)' was held at Jagannath International Management School (JIMS), New Delhi on 'Entrepreneurship Educator Program' commenced from 13th - 15th July 2016. The workshop was designed for entrepreneurs and was attended by over 40 delegates from the different institutions. Ms. Shalini Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering attended the workshop as a delegate from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.
The workshop focused on the need for entrepreneurship educator in today's world and especially in India. The objective of the workshop was to develop a basic understanding of Entrepreneurship concepts, such as Idea Generation, Opportunity Evaluation, Business Model, and Business Plan.
Day1:13th July 2016
The key speakers of the workshop were Mr. Raj Bhat, Entrepreneur Educator, National Entrepreneurship Network and Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, Entrepreneur Consultant, National Entrepreneurship Network. The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Raj Bhat who emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and the role of academic institutions. He explained that Business Model is important in the whole entrepreneurial process not just at the time of starting the business, business model iteration is the key to success of many leading cooperates. He gave some examples to indicate how some corporates have done this (cirque de soleil, wal - mart, apple). The participants were divided into small groups (4 - 5 participates per group) and were given exercise on the company building process. Mr. Sanjay Kapoor took the next session. He explained how to use the 5Qs rubric to screen the business ideas and provide understanding about the concept of facilitated blended learning. What do investors look for in a Business Plan and how to write a Business Plan using nine blocks of the Business Model Canvas were also discussed in the session.
Day2:14th July 2016
Second day began with the summarized take away from Day1 about the experiential learning and Kolb's model by Mr. Raj Bhat. Wadhwani Way of Entrepreneur Development & Student Curriculum was discussed in detail by Mr. Raj Bhat and Mr. Sanjay Kapoor. Wadhwani ways of development entrepreneurs was explained in detail. It was discussed that the institutions should supplement the syllabus and certification in entrepreneur using blended learning. Speakers explained the process how to build a campus entrepreneur ecosystem and discussed the case studies. Mr. Sanjay Kapoor took the next session on 'How to access and Use Learnwise and EdCast'. Through the practical software downloading and the role of E-cell, objectives and function were explained. Through flow chart yearlong e-cell engagement process and annual recognition for e-leaders were explained. He continued his talk by taking session on 'WFNEN 100'. He explained that after studying theWFNEN100 course of the Wadhwani group participants could help discover the entrepreneur in the students and that is just a sample of what they can achieve through the E-cell.
Day3: 15th July 2016
The session started with the Team Activity. Each Lesson numbers have been allotted to the different teams. Each team created the presentation of assigned Lesson and presented it. In the last session discussions were held on 'How to run a Team Activity and class Discussion'. Through e-cell engagement process and Self - reflection Exercise were explained.
The workshop concluded with distribution of certificates to the participants and group photographs. The workshop proved to be very beneficial to the faculty members and enriched their knowledge with practical aspects of Entrepreneurship.
