Launch Of An Internship Program 'Pradipti' By

Third year students of ECE/EEE/ME Department along with Prof. Sanghamitra V. Arora attended the launch of Internship Program ‘Pradipti’ on 10th May 2024 at Indian Aviation Academy.
The internship program aims to facilitate learning the practical aspects of Airport Infrastructure, Operations, and Air Navigation Services and generate interest in Civil Aviation among youth by reaching out to educational institutes in the vicinity of airports.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar (Chairman, AAI) formally launched the program. The event included live interaction with the senior management of AAI, as well as Airport Directors from across the country. He said, “The idea behind the initiative is to bring students from institutes to explore their field of interest, providing them with industry experience through participation in project implementation at airports.” An MoU has been prepared by the AAI, which will be signed between the respective educational institutions and AAI, facilitating the internship implementation process. Over 120 institutions have signed the MoU in the vicinity of AAI Airports across the country for their students undergoing Graduation/Post-Graduation/Professional degree courses, the AAI authorities said during the interactive session. Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida also signed MoU with AAI.
Dr. H. Srinivas, Member (Human Resources) at AAI, shed light on the internship program during his address, emphasizing the significant benefits it offers to participants. The initiative aims not only to acquaint students with airport operations but also to spark their passion for further exploration within the aviation industry. He added, the Universities are providing theoretical knowledge to students and the internship program will assist them with the opportunity to have practical access through familiarization workshops and by being part of project implementation at airports. The initiative will also stimulate the student's passion for learning and connecting the theory with practice.
The initiative by AAI reflects a proactive approach to nurturing talent and fostering a deeper understanding of the aviation industry among the younger generation, ultimately contributing to the sector’s growth and development. The students of DGI, Greater Noida have shown keen interest in the internship program and want to pursue the same to enhance their practical skills.
