Session on "How to plan for Start-up and Legal and Ethical Steps"

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), and Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Cell, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a Session on “How to plan for Start-up and Legal and Ethical Steps” on 1st May, 2024. The distinguished speaker of the session was Mr. Kuldeep Kumar (Commercial Manager – TVS Motor Company). Final Year B. Tech and MBA students attended the session.
The objective of the session was to guide aspiring entrepreneurs on business planning, legal requirements, and ethical practices.
The session began with an overview of the start-up ecosystem, emphasizing the significance of having a clear vision and mission. Mr. Kuldeep Kumar highlighted the dynamic nature of start-ups and the need for innovative thinking and adaptability. He highlighted the importance of a well-thought-out business plan. Key components such as market research, value proposition, and competitive analysis were discussed in detail. Further, he provided practical tips on how to refine a business model and set realistic goals.
A significant portion of the session focused on the legal requirements for starting a business. The speaker outlined the various legal structures (e.g., sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC, corporation) and their implications. Important topics such as business registration, intellectual property rights, and contracts were also briefed to the students. The speaker discussed the importance of maintaining integrity, transparency, and fairness in all business dealings. Topics included ethical decision-making frameworks and strategies for fostering a positive company culture.
Lastly, Q&A segment helped the students to clear doubts and receive clear explanations by the speaker.
