Winners of Smart India Hackathon

(Sr. Software Edition- Grand Finale) in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu

Team Technoob from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida were one of the finalists and came up with flying victory and won Smart India Hackathon Grand Finale, Senior Software Edition which was held at Dindigul, Tamil Nadu on 19^th - 20^th December, 2023. Prof. Rajat Kumar and Dr. Aadarsh Malviya were the mentors and guided students throughout the 36 hour non-stop coding battle.

SMART INDIA HACKATHON is the World’s biggest open platform for the innovators or entrepreneurs of tomorrow to start today towards smarter India. Smart India Hackathon is a nationwide initiative to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems being faced in daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mind-set of problem-solving.

The two days event started on 19^th December in PSNACET, Dindigul. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sivakumar (Scientist and Director), Mrs. M. Neelavathy (Project Director and Scientist), Dr. A.V. Anthony Kumar (HOD IT, PSNA), Dr. R. Pushpalakshmi (HOD CSE, PSNA) and Dr. T Hemalatha (Prof. and HOD AI and DS, PSNA.)

After the inauguration, all the participants were taken to the coding hall and allotted the seats. During the coding session, participants had several mentoring and evaluation rounds.

The coding battle continued until the end of 20^th December evening. Participants had yoga session in the morning followed by breakfast. During the second day, the team Technoob faced one mentoring round and two evaluation rounds. Students of DGI came up with flying colors and proved themselves as the true Winner in SIH 2023.

The problem handled by Team Technoob (Team ID – 4064): Using existing CCTV network for crowd management, crime prevention, and work monitoring using AIML provided by Ministry of Railway, Central Government of India.
