DRONHACKATHON-2023

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and RDC (Research and Development Cell), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a grand technical project exhibition, DRONHACKATHON-2023 on 28th – 29th December, 2023. The event was conducted under the supervision of RDC Convener Prof. Sanghamitra V Arora and other faculty members of DGI. On 28th December, 2023 the inauguration was initiated by Dr. S. K. Srivastava (Registrar, DGI) in the presence of all HOD’s, faculty and students of DGI.
The major objective of the event was to bring out the diverse ideas of 1st and 2nd year students from every department of the Institution and train them for the upcoming competitions. It was observed that a huge number of students showed their interest to participate in the exhibition. Students were evaluated in two phases. During the first phase, students were required to pitch their project ideas and shortlisting was done at the departmental level. After that, shortlisted students were allowed to participate in the technical project exhibition, DRONHACKATHON-2023. There were two categories of Projects: Hardware and Software. Under Hardware category there were 30 teams which exhibited their projects at ground floor/main reception of the Institution and under software category there were 40 teams which exhibited their projects in the Computer Lab-I. Based on the recommendations of the jury members there were 12 software and 9 hardware projects that were shortlisted for day 2 of the event i.e. on 29th December, 2023.
Based on the recommendations of the judging panel, three best teams were selected as winners in every category (software and hardware). List of finalists has been given below:

The event produced a number of beneficial outcomes, including helping students to build their intentions so they would get prepared for future project contests, lowering their fear, and helping them recognize their strengths.
