Yoga Session: Promoting Wellness and Balance

NSS Unit, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized a rejuvenating “Yoga Session: Promoting Wellness and Balance” for B.Tech 1st-year students, led by certified trainer Archana Derhgawen on 7th May 2024.
The session emphasized the benefits of yoga in relieving stress and maintaining body-mind balance, inspiring students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
Prof. (Dr.) Arpita Gupta welcomed trainer Archana Derhgawen and gave a brief introduction of her. Following this, Ms. Archana commenced the session with emphasis on the significance of yoga in promoting overall health and balance in modern lifestyles. Participants were led through a gentle warm-up to prepare their bodies for the main exercises. Ms. Archana skillfully demonstrated a some of the yoga poses. She provided clear instructions and helpful modifications to ensure everyone could participate comfortably. A major highlight of the session was the focus on Pranayama, or breathing exercises, which helped attendees, learn techniques to manage stress and improve concentration. All the participants felt rejuvenated and inspired to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
Overall, the session successfully highlighted the importance of yoga as a tool for achieving wellness and balance, leaving participants with a sense of peace and motivation to prioritize self-care.
