Outreach Programme for School Students on National Science Day

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an outreach programme for school students of Government Inter College, Nandgram on “National Science Day”, 28th February, 2024. The primary goal of the outreach programming was to ignite a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among school students by showcasing the real-world applications of these disciplines.
The programme aimed at school students from grades 8 to 12. The students were at a critical juncture in their educational journey, where exposure to inspiring scientific experiences significantly influences their future career choices. Dr. Adarsh Malviya (Faculty, DGI) illuminated the school students and highlighted the basic principles of physics and chemistry. Students understood about fluid dynamics also. Students got an opportunity to see advanced equipment and ongoing research projects in fields like electronics and mechanical engineering. A fun and engaging science quiz competition was also organized where students test their knowledge on various scientific topics. Prizes were awarded to the top performers, encouraging a spirit of healthy competition.
The programme was an invaluable opportunity for school students to understand the world of Science and Engineering.
