National Integration Camp 2025 Report
5th - 11th February 2025
4 NSS Volunteers namely Aditya Verma (3rd year CSE), Harshita Nayal (3rd year CSIT), Suraj Kumar (3rd year CSIT), Nishu Sharma (3rd year, CSIT), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in National Integration Camp 2025 from 5th -11th February 2025 at Chandigarh University. Volunteers from 10 different states participated in the camp.
The National Integration Camp, themed "Mera Bharat - Shashakt Bharat - Viksit Bharat @2047.
Day 1: 5th February, 2025
The day began with followed by Prabhat-Pheri and a Yoga & Meditation session at the Sports Complex. The official welcome of participants to the NIC took place at the Auditorium. During the session, the objectives of the camp and the significance of national integration were introduced. Simultaneously, the registration and documentation process was carried out.
An introductory session followed in the Auditorium, where camp facilitators provided insights into the upcoming activities and expectations for the week. After a short tea break, preparations for cultural performances began, leading to rehearsals in the evening. Participants showcased diverse artistic talents, reflecting India's rich traditions and DGI team represented the Uttar Pradesh culture by singing a religious song.
Day 2: 6th February, 2025
The day began with Prabhat-Pheri and a refreshing Yoga & Meditation session at the Sports Complex. Participants showcased their creativity in a Rangoli competition based on themes like Unity in Diversity, India’s National Symbols and A Tribute to National Heroes.
During the inauguration ceremony, distinguished guests, highlighted the significance of national unity and the role of youth in shaping the future. The session concluded with an inspiring address, setting the tone for the week’s activities.
Post lunch, an expert session was conducted by Mr. Rohit Kumar, an NSS Awardee, on "Global Leadership and India’s Youth: Making India a Superpower." This was followed by engaging competitions like Poster Making, Slogan Writing, and a speech Contest, where participants expressed their thoughts on national integration and India's development by 2047.
Another insightful expert session on mental health was conducted by Ms. Paulomi Mukherjee from The Art of Living. As the evening approached, participants prepared for cultural performances dedicated to Punjab, showcasing the vibrant traditions of the state through music, dance, and theatrical performances.
Day 3: 7th February, 2025
The third day of the National Integration Camp was filled with learning, cultural pride, and interactive sessions. The day commenced with the usual Prabhat-Pheri, and a rejuvenating Yoga session.
The morning continued with an expert session by Mr. Ankush Nijhawan on "My Bharat Outreach Programme," where participants gained valuable insights into youth-driven national development. This was followed by a vibrant Traditional Attire Show within the campus, where participants proudly showcased the cultural diversity of their respective states.
Later, an enlightening session on "Cyber Security" was conducted by Dr. Jaspreet Singh Batth, making participants aware of digital safety and responsible online behavior. In the next session, an inter-regional storytelling session took place, where participants shared folk tales, legends, and personal stories from their regions, fostering cross-cultural understanding. This was followed by a panel discussion on "Youth as Catalysts for National Integration: Role of Education, Social Media, and Technology," where representatives from different states exchanged perspectives on the impact of modern influences on national unity.
The evening session featured a quiz competition on India’s culture, history, and geography, promoting knowledge and teamwork. At the end of the day, participants prepared for cultural performances dedicated to Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, celebrating the rich traditions of these states through music and dance.
The day concluded with a fulfilling dinner, a review meeting to discuss the day's events, and lights-off at 10:00 PM, wrapping up another inspiring and engaging day at the camp.
Day 4: 8th February, 2025
The fourth day of the National Integration Camp was centered on environmental awareness, cultural exchange, and national unity. The day started with a Prabhat-Pheri, and a Yoga session to energize the participants.
The day’s learning sessions began with an expert talk by Dr. Vivek Trivedi on Climate Change, emphasizing the urgent need for sustainable practices. Following this, the “Nayi Soch Nayi Disha: Viksit Bharat Rally” was conducted within the university campus where participants marched together showcasing their commitment to a progressive and united India.
An impactful Community Project followed, with a tree plantation drive reinforcing the importance of environmental conservation. Another expert session by Dr. Reena Chadha on “Role of Youth in Sustainable Development & Waste Management” further enriched participants with knowledge on ecological responsibility.
Next participants explored the Kalpana Chawla Research Center and Aircraft Hanger. An engaging expert session was conducted by Mr. Ankush Nijhawan on the MY Bharat Orientation Programme, providing valuable insights into youth leadership. The evening was dedicated to preparations for cultural performances, which were themed around Himachal Pradesh and Kerala, showcasing their vibrant traditions through mesmerizing performances.
Day 5: 9th February, 2025
The fifth day of the National Integration Camp focused on community service, education, and cultural exchange. The day began as usual Prabhat-Pheri, and a Yoga & Meditation session. Participants were engaged in a Shramdaan activity at Chappar Chiri Smarak, dedicating time to community service and learning about its historical significance.
Next there was an expert session by Ms. Nitika, a Disaster Management Professional, who discussed the principles of disaster preparedness and risk mitigation.
Post-session, a thought-provoking debate competition was held, addressing topics such as Unity in Diversity, Social Media’s impact on national integration, and the balance between regional and national identity. Participants passionately presented their viewpoints, leading to an engaging discussion.
Another expert session was conducted by Mr. Harpreet Singh from the NGO Avoid Accident focusing on entrepreneurship and youth empowerment under the Start-Up India initiative.
The evening saw preparations for cultural performances dedicated to Chandigarh and Rajasthan. The vibrant performances beautifully depicted the cultural essence of these regions through traditional dances, folk songs, and theatrical expressions.
Day 6: 10th February, 2025
The sixth day of the National Integration Camp was dedicated to exploring Chandigarh’s cultural and historical landmarks. The day began with Prabhat-Pheri, and a Yoga & Meditation session. Participants embarked on a sightseeing tour of Sukhna Lake, enjoying the scenic beauty and serene atmosphere.
The sightseeing continued with a visit to the Rock Garden, Rose Garden, and the bustling Sector 17 market, offering participants a glimpse of Chandigarh’s artistic and urban charm.
In the afternoon, an experience-sharing session was conducted where participants reflected on their journey throughout the camp, discussing their learnings and experiences.
The evening featured cultural performances dedicated to Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra, celebrating the rich heritage of these states through captivating dance, music, and drama.
Day 6: 11th February, 2025
The final day of the National Integration Camp was a culmination of all the experiences and learnings of the past week.
For the Valedictory Ceremony, participants gathered in the auditorium to rehearse and finalize arrangements. The ceremony was a grand event featuring speeches, reflections and the distribution of certificates, recognizing the efforts and contributions of all participants.
The National Integration Camp successfully fostered the spirit of togetherness, learning, and cultural exchange, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
