National Seminar on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020

Dr. Ritu Soryan (Professor and Dean of Students' Welfare), Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, was invited as a distinguished resource person at the “National Seminar on NEP 2020”, organized by the IQAC Cell of Inderprastha Engineering College. The seminar, titled "National Education Policy NEP 2020 Par Charcha," convened eminent academicians and experts from prestigious institutions to deliberate on the transformative aspects of NEP 2020.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by a warm welcome address delivered by the Head of the IQAC Cell. The seminar was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Sachin Maheshwari, Founder and Vice-Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University, Moradabad, who served as the Chief Guest. In his inaugural speech, he underscored the significance of integrating ethical education into modern pedagogy to cultivate well-rounded individuals. Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Gupta, Chairman of IEI, Ghaziabad, as the Guest of Honour, emphasized the pivotal role of interdisciplinary learning in shaping the future of education under NEP 2020.

Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak, Director General and Professor Emeritus at FORE, New Delhi, elaborated on the significance of leadership in education and how NEP 2020 fosters a culture of innovation and excellence.
Prof. (Dr.) Apurbba Kumar Sharma, Professor & Head of the Department of Design at IIT Roorkee, discussed the integration of technology and creativity in modern education, stressing the importance of design thinking.
Dr. Smita Sahur, Director of Amity IPR Cell, highlighted the role of intellectual property rights in fostering research and innovation among students and educators.
Dr. Priya Gambhir, Principal of St. Andrews World School, spoke about the transformative changes in school education under NEP 2020, focusing on experiential learning.
Prof. (Dr.) Pooja Tripathi, HOD of IT, explained the impact of digital transformation and emerging technologies, such as blockchain and AI, on the future of education.

She presented practical insights and real-life examples, engaging the audience with her thought-provoking perspectives. Her lecture, which emphasized the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Ethics, was highly appreciated by the attendees. She passionately advocated for an education system that goes beyond mere knowledge dissemination to foster holistic transformation. Her session sparked a keen interest among faculty members leading to an engaging face-to-face discussion on the practical implementation of her ideas in educational institutions.
As a token of appreciation, Dr. Soryan was honored with a plant sapling, a memento, and a certificate for her valuable contributions to transformative IQAC initiatives. The seminar successfully concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a day of profound learning and insightful discussions on the future of education in India under NEP 2020.
