Robochamps - 2017
(A National Level Robotic Championship)

A National Level Robotic Championship “Robochamps - 2017” was organized by MIET, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on 14th - 15th April 2017.
Divyansh Negi, Student of ECE 2nd Year of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida exhibited his Project titled “Low cost 3D Printer and CNC PCB Plotter” in this Championship and won the second prize. He has developed the project under the guidance of Mr. Raj Ranjan Prasad, Assistant Professor - Electronics and Communication Engineering.
The purpose of this project is to make a low cost all in one industrial grade 3D Printer and CNC PCB Plotter so that it can be easily used for commercial and domestic purposes.
The event was inaugurated with the lightning of lamp on 14th April 2017 at 10:00 AMby Lt. Gen. (Retd.) J. M. Garga (Director General, MIET, Meerut), Shri Gaurav Agarwal (Vice Chairman, MIET, Meerut), Shri Vishnu Saran (Chairman, MIET, Meerut), Mr. Lavanya Manchanda (Sales Head, Fanuc India Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon), Dr. Mayank Garg (Executive Director, MIET, Meerut) and Dr. Sanjeev Maheshwari (Director, MIET, Meerut).
The event started with an expert talk by Mr. Lavanya Manchanda on “Emerging Technologies on Industrial Robotics and Manufacturing Automation”.
Later, the participants from different parts of the country demonstrated the working model of their projects. Judges visited the exhibition area and evaluated the projects. First day event closed at 5 PM. Divyansh Project was shortlisted for the final round.
On 15th April 2017, all the finalists gave a brief presentation of their projects. Team of DGI, Greater Noida did their best to explain and demonstrated their innovative idea.
Closing ceremony started with the expert talk by Mr. Sanjay Singh (Manager (R&D) MF Electricals, Gurgaon) on “IOT & Robotics Technology”.
Finally, Shri Vishnu Saran congratulated all the participants and faculty members for the successful event and declared the winners and runners - up of the events and prizes were distributed to all the finalists.
Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida project, “Low cost 3D Printer and CNC PCB Plotter” won the second prize. Divyanshwas awarded with a Certificate and Cash Prize of Rs. 3,100/-.
Program came to an end with the vote of thanks by Dr. Devendra Kumar Sharma, HOD, ECE, MIET, Meerut.
