Slogan Writing Competition On Ethical Voting
(Matdaata Youth Festival)

NSS Wing of Dronacharya Group of institutions, Greater Noida organized a Slogan Writing Competition on Ethical Voting on 13th January 2017 in observance of the Matdaata Youth Festival. The aim of the event was to create an awareness and motivate young voters to caste their vote in upcoming elections ethically.
The program started with the inauguration by Prof. S.K. Bagga, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Prof. Bagga welcomed all the participants and said that in order to encourage young voters taking part in the political process society must act. Prof. Bagga also added that ethical voting means voting without involving in cast, religion, gender, races and any other monetary and political influences. We should vote only on the basis of development.
He said that the theme of National Voter Day (NVD) 2017 is ‘Inclusive and Qualitative Participation’ reiterating the commitment towards reaching out to the last voter and promoting informed and ethical voting.
Student coordinators, Madhwesh Upadhyay and Divya Chaturvedi led the Pledge taking ceremony on this occasion. The students, participants and faculty members took pledge for casting their votes ethically.
12 students from different colleges qualified for the final round of the Slogan Writing Competition. They presented their slogan and put forward the justification of their slogans written on the theme of Ethical Voting.
Mohit Garg was of the opinion that we must caste our vote ethically and choose a government with a vision.
Divya Chaturvedi stressed that every single voter must exercise his vote and contributes in the election process.
Nisha stated that our country must be our only religion and to vote is our duty which we must all exercise.
The competition ended with the certificate distribution to the participants. The Vote of thanks was rendered by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mishra, Faculty Coordinator.
