Basic 3D Animation Using Blender

An Introductory course on 3D Animation Using Blender was conducted by IIT Bombay through its e-learning portal, IITBx during 26th January - 22nd June 2017, as an online learning initiative.
This was a Skill Development courses which covered basics of 3D Modeling, Texturing, Lighting and Animation using the free and open source tool: Blender.
This course was conducted by Dr. Sameer Sahasrabudhe, Senior Project Research Scientist, Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay. Ms. Sneha Sanglikar, Fine Arts Graduate from Sir J. J. School of Arts, Mr. Nitin Ayer, Lead UI developer for the IITBombayX platform and Ms. Kaumudi Sahasrabudhe, Project Manager Animation and Design Team, Deptt. of CSE, IIT Bombay.
Students of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida completed the course under the mentorship of Ms. Kiran Singh and Ms. Monu Singh, Assistant Professors from Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
An interactive session for this course was organized on 13th April 2017 by Dr. Sameer Sahasrabudhe. Students participated in this session and got their doubt sorted out which they were facing while attempted in the Assignments and Quizzes.
This course was offered in a Self - pace Mode. This course covered the basic workflow of the software. Students learned the Animation Principles: Squash and Stretch. Since this was a Skill Development Course, there was a substantial emphasis on the hands-on activities, assignments and projects.
Once registered, students went through the content (Week 1 to Week 8), at their own convenience and speed. The assessment of this course was based on 3 quizzes. The course contained a total of 9 Chapters.

All the successful candidates were awarded with the course certificate.
The course ended on June 22nd 2017.
