Youth Festival
(Celebration of Voters Day)

NSS WING of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida participated in Youth Festival for Voters Day Celebration at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida on 23rd January 2017. The purpose of this event was to inculcate the feel of ethical voting in young voters. The event was organized by District Administration, Gautam Buddha Nagar.
Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Swami, Faculty Coordinator of DGI NSS Wing along with 36 NSS Volunteers participated in the festival.
The program started with the exhibition of paintings and posters wherein a number of students from various colleges participated. The students showcased their skills and contributed towards voters’ awareness through their art. It was followed by Dance, One-Act Play, Poem Recitation, Short Stories and Speeches by the volunteers from various participating colleges.
Addressing the participants, Mr. N P Singh, DM, Gautam Buddha Nagar said that in order to uphold the democracy, it is significant to vote ethically. Mr. Singh also laid stress on the urgent need to motivate young voters to come forward and participate in the electoral process.
Mr. Alok Kumar, Observer, Election Commission of India, emphasized the need of ethical voting in our society.
This program ended with the National Anthem.
