Advanced Workshop on Automobiles

An Advanced Workshop on Automobiles was organized by DGI SAEINDIA Collegiate Club in association with BOSCH Limited, Delhi on 16th - 17th February 2017.The objective of conducting the workshop was to acquaint students about advances in Diesel Engines and Engine Management System. Mr. Parag Kavthekar, Regional Trainer, Bosch Automotive was the resource person for the workshop.
The training program was divided in theory and practical session; theory session was conducted at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida and Practical Session was conducted at Bosch Training Centre, New Delhi.
Day 1: 16th February 2017
Mr. Parag Kavthekar started the first day session with an overview of the products exclusively developed and manufactured by BOSCH Limited. He explained the classification of Fuel pumps and described its working. The features and working of Anti - lock Braking System (ABS) was demonstrated. During this session, Mr. Kavthekar explained the difference between Mechanical Injectors and Electronic Injectors.
Day 2: 17th February 2017
On the second day the training was organized at BOSCH Training Centre. Mr. Kavthekar conducted the lecture session onFuel Tank, Fuel Supply Pump, Filter, Fuel Injection Pump, Overflow Valve, Nozzle, Holder Assembly, Return Valve, Fuel Injection Equipment like Combustion Chamber, CRDI - direct Injection, IDI (indirect injection) and TDI (turbo diesel injection), Fuel Filters like step and Parallel. Later Mr. Kavthekar demonstrated the working of Diesel & Petrol Engines and explained the part of engine. He also explained the functioning of Common Rail System.
In the next phase, training on Engine Diagnosis and Engine Management System was conducted. In engine diagnosis, the students diagnosed the problems of Maruti Suzuki Swift with BOSCH Diagnosis Software.
The training session ended with the Q & A Session.
