Invest Japan Symposium

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Japan External Trade Organiation (JETRO) organied an Invest Japan Symposium at Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi on 7th February 2017. Mr. Gaurav Siwal, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the event.
In the opening Session, Mr. Vikram Kirloskar, Deputy Chairman, CII and Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar Motorpresented an overview of the event. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, the Ambassador of Japan to India, welcomed the participants.
Mr. Shigeki Maeda, Executive Vice President, JETRO, discussed about the investment climate in Japan and Business Opportunities for Indian Companies. He discussed Investment Imbalance between Japan and India, misperceptions of Japan, Entry Opportunities for Indian Companies and role of JETRO in establishment of Companies.
Mr. Pradeep Kumar Rawat, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, discussed about India - japan Bilateral Investment Partnership. He discussed the existing and upcoming projects as an example of investment relationship between two countries.
Mr. Rajiv Shesh, Executive Vice president , HCL corporation Pvt. Ltd. gave a special company presentation in which he discussed HCL Japan journey and its history. He discussed key relationships in consumer electronics, Office Automation, Computer Manufacturer, Medical Devices, Financial Conglomerate and E-Commerce Industry. He discussed Market Dynamics, Challenges and Key Success Factors.
Mr. J. K. Menon, Executive Director & CEO, Minda Group, discussed about the company’s Vision, Mission and Values. He discussed group’s Milestones, Sales Structure, Domestic Footprints, International Presence and benefit of Investment in Japan for global exposure.
Mr. Shinobu Yamamoto, Representative, City Of Yokohama discussed the benefits of investing in state. He discussed ease of transportation, reasonable rental and Leasing Fees and other Geographical and Political benefits of Yokohama State. Other representatives from the city of Osaka discussed about the benefits of investing in their state. They discussed about Osaka Business and Investment Centre, Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Indian Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
The Program concluded with Vote of Thanks from Mr. Kauya Nakajo, Chief Director General, JETRO New Delhi.
